Sorry I’m late to the game on this. deadCENTER is top notch, in every way. It is also run by the finest group of ladies I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting. The love film, they love community, and best of all, they love to party. On any given summer, I couldn’t think of too many places I’d rather be than deadCENTER of the country.

Loved this festival. I didn’t know what to expect but once I got there it was all cool gallery parties, sweet digs, great programming, tremendous staff that immediately became your friends…and um, SNOW BEER! yeah, you don’t even know what that is but it should be enough to get you to this festival. I’ll say it again in case you weren’t listening, SNOW BEER.

Especially cool was the horror shorts. But all of it was cool, at least it was in 2008 and from what I’ve heard it gets better with every passing year, like wine – a really fun wine that gets you sloshy.

One of the best festivals on the circuit, period. Like the previous reviewer, I was there in 2006 and 2009, and while the fest has grown tremendously, it hasn’t lost sight of it’s original mission – to celebrate independent cinema.

Fantastic attendance by the locals, lots of media opportunities and exposure, an absence of b.s. politics, and five-star treatment by the dedicated and fun staff. What more could one want?

This festival is awesome. I went in 2006 and was amazed by the cool staff and the amazing treatment I got but then I went back in 2009… The festival had grown tremendously: Great parties, a ton of press to promote my film and a solid selection of films. I highly recommend deadCENTER Film Festival as one of the best festivals on the circuit.
