What a wonderful small town film festival! Such care and graciousness goes into this festival. Sadly, the longtime festival director, Peter Simpson, died this year so I have no idea if it will stay so wonderful but my experience in 2007 was top notch.

Port Townsend is a darling little Victorian town surrounded by water and for that reason alone it’s worth the trip. It’s also nice that they arrange for you to be picked up from the airport and although they put you up with families, they make sure you have very nice accommodations. We were housed in someone’s guest house so had privacy and a lovely place to stay.

The hospitality was outstanding and the little old theaters, absolutely charming. Oh and the gift bag was filled with local treats which was a lovely surprise.

I would really recommend this festival to anyone!
